JG42 Moscow Campaign FI Skins (Winter)

Post by :FI:Genosse » Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:25 pm

Folks!

I thought it might be nice idea to create and collect some FIS skins for the JG42 winter campaign. I'd like to start this with a P-39D-1 skin but I'm willing to work on more skins for different aircraft, too.

Any takers (apart from Mikester)?

I'll have a couple Frank, if you don't mind.

"Squad numbers" huh.

I still want my number 4 back (as I was number 4 in the squad). Just because I disappeared for 1-2 years with young kids!!

Outstanding as usual, Frank. I'd love a set with #41 on them, sir. Nose art's always nice as well if you've got it handy. (Blue 2 ball on the fighers in this case for me, I think.)
Hmm... I also really dig the cool cyrillic writing they did on the sides of some Russian planes. Don't worry about it now but here's an idea for later if you or one of our other capable skinners are game:
Spell out something like "To glorious FI Squadron from Peoples Workers Union of Sheepherders" or something along those lines... :doubt:
Or not. I dunno - one of our more creative types can prob'ly do better, but you get the idea - have some fun & make a cool skin at same time!

Anyway, THANKS for the effort on these! For future reference if you come up with any others I'll take 'em. P-40 maybe...?
