Panthers over P'yongyang

Post by :FI:Falcon » Sat Dec 05, 2009 9:44 am

Boy I tell ya,

we had some fun with the Panther during McBig's Korean missions last night,

but all the jets had someone else's number on them.

What's up with that?!

So I'm starting a new skin using information from a template by HH_Blaze.

WIP!!

Image

After a brief vote, we decided to do an FI Metal skin first; kinna like this ...

Image

... if it fits. I'm still learning the model.

If you'd like one or if you'd like to suggest an historic scheme, let me know.

The skins in the game are not bad. I could take them and simply put your number and/or name on them.

Found GJE52 Internal and Mechanical layer, placed it into Blaze's F9F Template, and here is a pic of the details.

Yep Sack, I saw the internals and d'l'd them. Makes a big difference, huh? I'm trying to get all the metal panel shading right now. Hairy job.

Yes, I KNOW I'm supposed to be repairing some kitchen tiles now. I gave Eileen some B.S. about the subsurface needing to be dry before glopping on the glue. I think she bought it.

Thanks for the heads up anyway,

Wow, knocked these out AND tiled a kitchen in a day? Now that's productivity! =D]
Must have taken a good 1/2 day for that floor to dry out first, huh?

They look great, Stu. I'll be the first to request one, numero 41 porfavor.

From the Panther folder in your game ...

Image

just a wee bit of personalization for the VF153rd Squadron.

I might get to the all dark blue one if anyone wants it.

Uhhh, Larry, the tile's not exactly done. It needs all night to dry that sub-surface up ... right? Only problem is that that means I gotta get to it tomorrow morning BEFORE Sunday flying. Oh, it's gonna be tight!

Instead of just embellishing Bolter's stock, in folder, Navy blue Panther, which is a darned fine job, I followed his markings and combined them with most elements of Blaze's template and added a few detail layers, the =FI= stuff and my own interpretation of the Navy blue paint.

Oooo, Sacktime better watch out for the ladies in this getup!

These are very nice Stu. Now lets see a picture of the tile job.
I'd like one of each please with the usual livery.

Is it possible Stu to change the color of the helmet to say Racing Green or flat black? That red just looks to me like a huge bulls eye.
Thanks mate.

Yeah, kinna funky, huh? Well, I looked for the helmet in the skins/heads files, no joy. In desperation I tried different faces in game. Nope. It prolly is hard coded like some wheel hubs and prop blades in a secret nether world allllll it's own.

I really dunno. Ax around.
