Gen's BOS skins

Post by :FI:Genosse » Mon Dec 29, 2014 3:35 pm

Folks,

since a I've had a bit spare time and the devs of BOS have introduced custom made skins to their sim I decided to create some skins for all five available VVS aircraft. Here's my small collection of images showing them at 08:30 in the morning (so the daylight is still a bit red/orange).

Very nice Frank, would you be doing the German skins at all? if so, what about replacing that symbol on the tailplane with another design, obviously not that nazi thing or the default one, thinking more of an Irish theme.

Would it be possible to stick your templates somewhere so those who want to can then edit them with their own squad number? I know I'm a pain.

Are you talking about the .PSD templates or just the .DDS ones, Vin? The Photshop files for the five planes (about 380 MB) would take hours to upload, mate ... :?

Alright, I've uploaded the .DDS files onto my Dropbox account. Download and extract them into your C:\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins folder.

I hope you'll like them in 'real life' ... ;)

PS: for those of you who want get hold of the FIS batch download it -> here <-, pls!

Folks,

if you want to get one or all these skins personalized by me then just let me know what you like to get on them. I might have still the one or other insignia of yours on my HDD ... ;)

Frank, if you could kindly see your way to supplying a No.48, for all aircraft, don't think you have any noseart for me, if you have, could you stick my squadname below it please.
