Folks,

as you might or might not know the common Germans celebrates every year the carnival time before the fasting period begins. They disguise themselves and go the annual carnival parades moving through the streets of the foolish cities like Cologne or Düsseldorf, et al. On these parades the carnival clubs usually show their floats presenting sometimes some very unique views on current political and social affairs and topics ...

All you've seen here is legal in Germany ... but just during the foolish carnival days before Ash Wednesday.

What do you think, chaps? ;)

Wasn't sure to show you this one, Mef. I didn't want to cause here any controversy, as you can imagine. The next one has already done it ...

I was unaware of this, too.

The Hitler one did surprise me, though. ;)

Well Gen, seriously, I am a bit surprised.
We speak here of christian-nationalist-socialists (ultraright-lefties), anti-EU, anti-German, anti-Russian, anti-wegetarian, anti-cyclist, anti-LGBT, anti-Polish (those how do not agree with the now-governing party, were caller "lesser kind of Poles") merry kind of folks.
Sad part it is not a joke. :doubt:

All politics is faeces ( some about to reach the fan).
Governing party has the majorty in parliaments, both prime minister and president answer to the party lider. When somebody of inner-circle has been under investigation or convicted, the president pardoned them.
Ministry of Defence is paranoiac fighting Russian/German/former government spies, enemies of the system, obsessed with the presidential plane being blown to pieces and devoted to prove that at any cost.
If something is unconstitutional, you change the constitution court, if the public funded tv do not say the right things or show things obscene - promoting gaiety (commercial promoting segregation of literal trash that included two men and a child in a kitchen has been recognized as improper and banned http://tinyurl.com/jzk9c7w) you change it bosses and fire some staff, if the prosecutors do not prosecute people they are supposed to you give the right to the ministry of justice to become their supervisor...

so... one more slip Gen... one more joke about the Holy Leader, Sun of the Potato and your folks will be in BIG trouble, with our new border on Rhein not Oder ...

I watched the film Look Who's Back last night and thanks to these I'm a (very small) step closer to understanding German political humour...

Thanks for posting—brilliant as always!

Good ones Gen!

I wonder how far are we from the edge of truth being more furchtbar, grotesque than the caricatures we used to take as funny at some point, not far ago. But hey, that just means we have (had) limited imagination!

As we used to hear *mates, I crashed, can we restart again?*

I need a drink, or love, or nurse, or a tipsy lovely nurse.
