Nvidia 300 Series drivers

Post by :FI:Scott » Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:33 pm

Nvidia have put out the frst WHQL version of the new 300 series drivers. I have been running a beta of these for a few weeks and found them to be stable and have performance improvements on the games I have. They also have FXSA, adaptive v-synch and frame rate capping via 3rd party tools (such a EVGA Precision). Certainly the adaptive vsynch is worth a look in games like CoD where the inbuilt version is a proper performance hit.

I've been using the 301.24 drivers for weeks and they work very well for me.

Rise of Flight in particular really seems to like these drivers. I've just run a quick mission on the deck with 18 planes up and it was smooth as. Thats with everything maxed except for landscape on med. On the basis that I'm as picky as hell about stutters and low fps I'm well pleased with it.
