Wind direction and wind speed are taken into account in pic No. 7 Eamon. Frank has set himself up to fly in the direction of the wind and has set the wind speed to 2 m/s. The wind direction in the DH4 is basic (with or against the wind), but if you fly the HP400 then the wind direction is in degrees and slightly more complicated if attacking from an angle.
