Conman jumping on some poor Zero's. This one was a slow start and lots of different backgrounds, but I am very pleased with the final version.

Re: New PC Buid
Well, happenstance is dictating that I wait a bit longer on the continued pc build. The 12 year old minivan's starter went out today...poof...half my pc budget gone for the repair. But looking at the last posts by Mikester fate might be on my side, eh somewhat.

Re: New PC Buid
The card is $290, it is a tad more, but with the money saved on the different MB and Processor it's a wash. So looking like it would be a good fit. Thanks.

Re: New PC Buid
Very helpful Vranac, making it faster and cheaper a perfect combination. I have not returned the MB yet, but I will, and look another one that will support the i5 2500 k.

Re: New PC Buid
Yep, meant the K version. Overclocking scares me at the moment. Once built and comfortable I'll think about it.
Now with the i5 2500K running cooler is the liquid cooling system still worth it, or save the money?

Re: New PC Buid
Thanks for the tip Gadje, I have not gotten the processor yet. The i5 2500 would save me $20 and if it's faster than the i7 950 for games...works for me. The i7 2600 jumps to $280, kinda pushing it financially.

Re: New PC Buid
Thanks for the input gentlemen. Looking good Mikester, makes me feel good about what I was looking at (because they are similar). I will check out the SSD, a bit more money, but might be worth it. I did check out the Dell Outlet and they had some good buys, but just can't swing that much in one lump...

Re: New PC Buid
Thanks for the tips guys. Any builder sites you could recommend there Helo? Love to check them out. Also on the video card front what's the deal with using two video cards? Can you get too less expensive cards and get better graphics and frame rates, or go with one mac daddy of a card? I still don't...

I've been talking with Falcon on a computer build for over a year now. My current computer is going on 8-9 years old and just not cutting it. I can't even play the updated IL-2, the 4 fps I get just isn't fun. We are credit card less at the moment and the wife wouldn't be too happy with me getting a...

Really nice job, good details on the commander too. Love to see a pic with the lights on when you get a chance. Used to be huge into modeling in the early teen years. Wish I could get back into it.

Yeah, just what I need, getting my ass kicked by a bunch of bikers for tooling around on my Schwinn wearing a bicycle helmet. Think I'll pass on that one. Plus I'm still saving in hopes of the new pc. But thanks for the invite. What we need is a U.S. member trip, sorry, North American member trip. S...

One of my latest pics. War Dog outpacing some P-40's. I reworked the skin and everything, but none of his markings are visible . Still, I'm pleased with it.
