I am also curious if I have a virus/worm associated with the SVCHOST.EXE file. I seem to have more than one copy of that file on my PC. How would one know and eliminate it if it is there.

I used the mega patch and so far everything seems to be working just fine. Will let you know otherwise. So far, it was reallly convenient to just select it and go get a beer while it upgraded from FB/AEP/PF to 4.04m in short order.
