Its been a big discussion in the Linux world for the last few years. Some flavours wanted to support the chip others didn't.
Those who don't appear to have won. Another reason to move to Linux.

scfrewed up IL2 installation

I had a copy of IL2 that we used for the online war (4.11.1m and HSFX 6.0) and accidentally installed the 4.12 and 4.12.1 patch over it. My IL2 no longer starts. It gets as far as 30% loading them stops and exists to t...

Re: 4.12.1 sound mod
I'll get this tonight.
I do like 4.12.1. I got a partial kill last night against a B17 (was flying a 190 G). Nice to see the partial kills.

Re: H2Ownership?
Will if you live in certain parts of the world such as Israel, India, some parts of S. America then some countries dam rivers close to the source depriving countries down stream the water.Good point, and is California stealing Oregons water by virtue of the rivers that flow across the border

All of the above maps are good. Burma would be interesting but the distances can quite large.

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
given our penchant for no organization, (which I do not want trifled with) We as the FI need to discuss this amongst ourselves. While in general we are not well organised if we are going to be fighting an online war we need to be organised, have people assigned to fighters, ground attack, strategic...

Re: H2Ownership?
its a tough one. Guy applied for a permit to build ponds to catch rainwater. Permit removed so ponds need to be removed. I can see his point of view but also the states. What happened if someone owned the landed feeding the Colorado river and decided to catch all the snow/rain runoff from the rockie...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
I could prob do this. Create a post in the stats forum explaining what you want.I wish there would be even more options to investigate and compare, like for example best anti tank weapon, hit ratios and so on

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
My only interest in having the stats was so I could see where I need to improve, how I am doing compared to everyone else and as a general feel for what is happening in the war.Stats kill everybody. Stats kill everyone.
We could stop tracking them if they are a cause of concern ?

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
the IL2 logs does capture that AI events but I only extract those pertaining to AI/human interactions.I have no idea if the event log even captures AI-to-AI kills, do you
I could capture all AI events.
