Mission Number 50 of FNBF is coming up this weekend (also Superbowl weekend.... coincidence? ).
I have signed up to fly a LaGG. One more LaGG and lots of Yaks available. One more Peshka too.
Hope some of you can join me!
Work prevented me from making this last Friday, but I'm taking the day off this week so I'll definitely be there this time.
Posting a reminder again in case any of you can make it.
Signed up for tomorrow's FNBF session, even though I could be a late arrival.
Still a number of Yak & LaGG slots left, also one Peshka, if anyone else can make it.
If not, maybe I'll catch some of you on Sunday. Either way have a good weekend guys!
Good finds Frank! I'll look at all of 'em eventually. The pilot in the P-38 film is aviation author Jeff Ethel, and I think he's flying a bird that belongs to the Tillamook NAS museum in Oregon. Tragically, he died in the crash of another P-38 he was flying at that same field in '97, probably not to...
Flew Friday Night Bomber Flight today with some of the 1.JaVA boys. (Biggles, Keben, Jumper) We chatted a little afterwards and they passed me the address of their new squad web site. I mentioned our annual P.11 shoot up during the conversation, saying I doubted anyone would mind if they wanted to j...
Well, I see 33 views but just 3 of us responding so far. Hopefully many of those 33 can make it!
I plan to hold this time slot open & look forward to seeing a bunch of you there. Thanks Frank!
FNBF is back this Friday, for any who are interested. Four of the 1.JaVA guys are already signed up along with others. Not yet certain I can get off work in time, but will probably put myself on the "tentative" list just in case. For the info & further links, see post #151, here: http:...
Ah, that explains it. Knew you must be up to something, Vin. I'm in the middle of taking delivery on all the pieces of a brand new PC as well. A young friend from work has enthusiastically volunteered to handle the build & tuning process for me - terrific since I'm clueless on this stuff and my ...
Any of you up for this tomorrow evening? (See post #104.) http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/25316-friday-night-quickie-flights/page-3 I should be able to leave work early tomorrow & will try to join in during the EU time zone missions. I'll check forums at work in the morning to see if there a...
Went to the CAF Wings Over Dallas airshow on 10/29 & shelled out some green for my very first WW2 bomber ride! Had lots of great choices but went with this one because I learned it was the only plane that allowed you to visit every crew position (except pilot seats) during the flight. A link to ...
Yep, keeping calm is prudent advice now, as it usually is. Life will go on, and the president is not a dictator here... or not supposed to act like one anyway. Congress has "power of the purse" & other checks & balances, if it plays it role correctly anyway. (Not holding my breath ...
Oh, good Frank - just in time! Rambo is heading back home to for a few weeks of vacation, he just told us last night, so the Soviet Air Forces of Stalingrad Front must make do without him for a while. I placed you in our squad today. Maybe we'll have a chance to fly together some next weekend, if th...
Where've you been, Vin? TAW is "on" again, and Rambo's tearing up the sky again... and I'm leaving shattered planes scattered across the steppes, but taking out a target once in a while. :D I just created our squadron again, for this round, and added Rambo to it. Vin your name wasn't in th...
