Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Yeah you are right Mike. One incident is not a big deal itself, even if deliberate, it is where it ends up is the concern.

As I said a good time for a break. :)

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Perhaps it is as well that we have a break from this war for a while, because maybe some thinking needs to be done about about what we bunch of old men want here. I ask you Nephris though as you justified sitting over a red airfield with two F4's with no enemy flack as within the rules, do you think...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

I think you misunderstand Nephris. Larry blew up those bridges because we were embarrassed that you as our guests in the Motherland of Russia would find fault with them. Our latest engineers are approaching in T34's to rebuild them. Please be patient don't interrupt them and let them do their job un...

Re: Il2 Sturmovik 4.12 Patch Release

Great patch, especially widescreen +1920x1080 resolution fix. Thanks for posting. best extracted to C:\HSFX\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\jsgmemods and adding in switcher after 4.11.1 to retain an install still compatable with HSFX. Also recommend copying your pilot profile , e.g. copy folder C:\HSFX\IL-2 St...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Nephris the test I recorded was in HSFX. Please look at it if you haven't yet. The data in IL2 compare shows the same thing. This twin engined heavy fighter(not bomber) is a better turner in a low speed fight than a Yak IB etc at 220kph and below. As your friend mentioned it is well known. That's wh...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Results of our testing evening: destroyed bridges We tested the behaviour of destroyed bridges and how vehicles behave in that case. I used the DCG option "bridge Repair Time: 3 mission". A destroyed bridge is tracked throughout the following missions, in this case 3 missions. Vehicles th...

Re: OLA PINCHE GRINGOS!!!

Hi Willie good to hear from you again.
Glad to see yer old bikes and guns ain't got you yet. As far as old gear goes, A 1960 Fender Telecaster, now that's a lethal weapon you don't want to mess with :)

Pretty simple surely . You were shot, crashed later because of that.
Person who shot you did shoot you down.

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

NO! [-X Please don't tempt the FI with medals. This squad has an unhealthy plethora of brass polishing, epaulet stitching, citation writers. They will all go chasing shiny baubles, lose the war #-o and turn this forum into the inside of Fagan's treasure chest; every member displaying their garish 'j...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Stats bear little resemblance to what I have experienced Eammon :? . I'm sure you will get them sorted though ;)

Till then I'll stick to http://nephris.ath.cx/il2sc_stat/index.php which other than no AI kills logged, seem to reflect what I have actually observed.

Good luck M8.

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

I know some dogfight servers used to disallow wingtip smoke as it was believed to cause lag on the server? Some pilots used/misuse lights to identify friendlies in a fight. However If you see this from your opponents don't be mad, turn yours on as well, it looks like Christmas and causes much confus...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war

Folks! That was good fun yesterday although I wasn't able to shoot down our famous host Nephris. :p ;) Watching the recording I have to notice that the warping due to lags was still existent. Maybe it was my connection, maybe the fact that lots of joining people were demanding the huge mission file...
